On April 18, 2019, a donation ceremony was held in the School of Shipping and Marine Engineering on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the college.

Dr. Li Shaoan, CEO of Motus Technology (Wuhan) Co., Ltd., made a keynote speech announcing the commitment of Motus Technology to support education, scientific research and innovation by donating funds to the education development of the college.

Xu Xiaodong, Vice President of Huazhong University and Director of Educational Development Foundation, expressed sincere thanks for Motus donation. Thanks to Motus Technology for its concern and support for the construction of the College over the years, the two sides have cooperated in many aspects, such as personnel training and staff training beside Huazhong University's alumni who are working in Motus Technology. Relevant leaders of the Institute said that through donations, the training of skilled personnel would be promoted, and they hoped that the two sides could carry out more and higher-level exchanges and cooperation in the future.
